Aleksandra is a Toronto deejay whose style will simply win you over. She sent me this mix to check out and I was drawn immediately. Although it is not minimal or techno right from the start (she opens with deep tech house and some soulful house), it picks up its pace once you reach the middle. Second half is more repetitive tech/techno that will remind you of something Villalobos would play. I would not recommend skipping one second of this set, it flows nicely together and takes you on a journey that ends with you feeling like you're about to go out and party; really gets your adrenaline goin'. I enjoyed this set so much, that I would label it a must download to anyone who comes here with an open mind and a desire to experience something new with tiny touch of minimal. You won't be dissapointed one bit, trust me on this one.

German Cyborg Youth - das sind wir, die der elektronischen Musik die Stange halten und unsere freie Zeit lieber in spärlich beleuchteten Katakomben, von dröhenden Bässen umgeben verbringen, als den Schrebergarten zu pflegen. Wir sind der Rave!

Hace un rato que no posteábamos (¿existe ese verbo?) algo de electrónica y creo yo que hemos regresado a esa senda de una manera triunfal al presentarles semejante discototote.

Scott Montieth, quien se dio a conocer en el mundo como Deadbeat, canadiense nacido en un pequeño pueblo cerca de Toronto, decidió fugarse a Berlin para explotar sus características como DJ y productor. Lo ha logrado y de qué manera.

Roots & Wire es un disco que, a manera de set, nos transporta de manera oscura, casi gótica, con diferentes ritmos que van desde el Dubstep hasta el Tribal (imagínense la combinación), a un mundo sofisticado de beats coherentes y de alguna manera, muy avanzados.

Un disco tan bueno que, si eres DJ, lo puedes poner completo mientras decides ir a ligar al backstage, embriagarte sin límites y regresar a las tornamesas unos segundos antes de que termine para hacerte pasar como un heroe del Tech House. Eso si nadie en el club ha escuchado Roots & Wire anteriormente (aún así, los asistentes te felicitarían por tan impresionante selección).

El mejor disco de Tech House que hemos posteado (mismo verbo inexistente en diferente conjugación) así que...

Karena selain handal, sangat mudah untuk instalasi dan konfigurasinya juga lebih sedikit memakan memori daripada menggunakan QMAIL. Untuk memaintenance juga lebih mudah ketimbang QMAIL. Tapi jika dibandingkan sendmail atau EXIM saya belum bisa membandingkan lebih lengkap, tp sekilas yang saya ketahui Postfix lebih baik. Sebelumnya maaf, tutorial ini belum di lengkapi cara install mailinglist-server-nya (biasanya saya pakai mailman). Dan tutorial ini di tulis berdasar pengalaman menginstall dengan berbasis GNU/Linux Mandrake ( Mandriva). Untuk distro Debian (saat ini yang saya pakai) masih belum sempat saya dokumentasikan. Cara kerja DHCP secara sederhana adalah DHCP Server menyediakan daftar range IP yang sewaktu-waktu dapat di minta oleh dhcp client. Permintaan IP terjadi saat dhcp client aktif. Jika suatu workstation yang terhubung ke DHCP Server dalam suatu jaringan telah di setting sebagai dhcp client, maka tatkala network diaktifkan dhcp client akan melakukan request ke DHCP Server. Aktifnya network biasanya adalah saat booting, namun bisa juga saat(start | restart | reload | renew ) servis network. Jika permintaan telah diterima oleh dhcp server, maka dhcp server akan memberikan IP address beserta "artribut" network lainnya.

El gig de Yelle fue un poco más de lo que esperaba. Toda la psicódelia hipster y la onda tektonik a todo lo que da. Bueno, empezemos por el lugar. Ahí si que se la bañaron. Es un pinche granero surrealista donde no se si sentirme en el Palenque de Guadalupe o en una galería de autos antigüos. Pero ni hablar, a la mejor ese es el precio que hay pagar por el boleto (que estuvo un poco barato, un poco nadamás). En fin, llegue con mi hermana, y el lugar ya estaba intestado con música de Santogold (two thumbs up). La gente no se acomodaba y prefería sentarse en el carro y tomar fotos a gente extraña. Luego, cuando los Dj's se pusieron al frente, se empezó a poner la cosa bárbara. Todavía no se llenaba, pero no hablar. Ya había gente danzando y bailando techno sin parar. Luego se subió un rapero (¿alguien se sabe su nombre?) y creó algo de ambiente. Estuvo algo plano, pero como para la cuarta rolita, se puso un poco mejor.

Ya llego luego la incertidumbre, se quitaron algunas tornamesas, y empezó a llegar un chico de los Dance or die, a poner sus cosas; y luego de 5 minutos, llego Yelle. La francesita despampanante arrivó con una capucha, de la que luego se la quitó y empezó con la primera rola: Tristesse Joie. Baila muy francesamente, con movimientos delicados y una sonrisa que me recuerda a Audrey Tatou. Y a todas las canciones, les da una variedad que no hay en el disco: con más drum gracias al baterista, y un twist diferente y mas rockero a cada final de canción. Luego llegaron sus demás canciones: Je veux te voir, Amor du sol, Jogging, y cuando llego Á cause des garçons, la cantó en sus dos versiones, en ela versión normal del disco, y en el remix tektonik con la que la volvió famosa. Ahí es cuando la parafernalia techno llego a su apogeo, había apuachurrones, y le aventaban sneakers Nike a Yelle. Vino y regresó dos veces, y terminó con un encore de Je Veux te voir; mas rockero y mas potente; dando un final poderoso a este pequeño pero satisfactorio gig.

However, this new EP, a taster in advance of a new album due out in 2009, is perhaps one of the most straightforward things he’s done. Straightforward in the sense that it’s fantastic, pounding TECHNOJOY of the highest level. Absolutely dominated by pulsatile, growling basslines, there are obvious dubstep grooves here, but delivered at the restless, aggressive pace we’ve come to expect from 606.

Elsewhere, old-school handclaps ride over a hurricane of a bassline on ‘Umbilical Bullets’, while ‘The Drip’ brings to mind an update on something the Ganja Kru might have put out in 1996. ‘Bat Manners’ drops the pace a little, all atmospheric reverbs, sluggish, downbeat drum work and a crackling undercurrent that gives it the feeling of a dub classic trying to break its way out of a pocket calculator.

Kid606 has taken the signifiers of classic electronica from the past decade (bits of jump-up, techno, hardcore and bassline all take the lead at various points) to create a miniature tour de force of dancefloor-fillers. The only downside, perhaps, is that there’s little of the flagrant sonic mischief we’ve come to expect, so it’s not stamped through with his personality as clearly as other releases. When it’s as consistently great as this though, who cares?

You know, I think I might have fallen for someone. She's so beautiful and the way she is is just WOW!!........ oh back to the dance ^_^;

I've been thinking a lot about love latley and what it is............. I don't know why but every time I try to confess I just can't. I need some help ( I geuss just like every guy in the world) -_-.

I teared up when I watched this. This man has spent his life collecting something that comes across as having little no value to most people. If you've never heard me say it before, because I have, and this might come across cold, but when my father dies, I hope he leaves me his record collection. It's a pretty decent record collection that he has. I remember cleaning the vinyl for him. I'm sure most of you are, if not, that's fine too, are familiar with the oil and the brush that comes in the vinyl cleaning kit. Keeps it shiny, in good condition so it doesn't crack, and it keeps the lint off so you don't get all of that "static" noise. When my parents would still be at work, when my brother would still be at school, I'd go down and put a record on. I'd clean it first, put the record down, find the line for the song I wanted to hear and let the needle do it's work. It's how I learned how to hook up my own entertainment system; from the receiver, to the cassette deck, to the speakers, my dad showed me how. You know the old receivers, those are the ones that I favor. We still have one as a matter of fact. I plan on using it again soon. Anyways, my fav records to put on where by Isaac Hayes, Stevie Wonder, Chicago and Marvin Gaye. So, to say the least, this video made me sad because for those of us who are passionate about music, knows that vinyl is best.

In today's world, everyone downloads and buys music from the internet, making physical record albums obsolete, which is very sad news for Paul Mawhinney. Paul has the world's largest record collection that he has been accumulated throughout his lifetime. He used to run a record store, and he would always put away the last copy of an album for himself. Due to his declining health and old age, Paul has decided to put the collection on sale for a mere $3 million when it was appraised at a whooping $50 million, yet no one has given a solid offer. Regardless of our technological advances, sometimes holding an album in your hands just feels a little bit different.

Talk about being overloaded with work... I've been focusing on advertising my blog, working on upcoming interviews with deejays, putting material together for a brand new mix of mine, producing, going through tons of new tracks, trying to find time to update this and to top it all off, finding a perfect balance with my personal life plus work obligations. To tell you the truth, it's indeed paying off and I'm very happy with how things are turning out. You guys have been great supporters, and I really have to thank you all for that; you are my motivation and what keeps me coming online at 1am after a long day of work to update this damn thing while loving every second of it! So thank you!

Anyways, today's classic post is the genre I found myself getting into lately, that old school progressive trance/techno mix, wouldn't label it trance if I'm going by what trance is today (more melodies, more mellow, extended breakdowns) so I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's absolutely wicked. I've been listening to a lot of old stuff lately too, trying to learn and understand how the music has evolved, and you don't have to look much further than the mixed CDs that came out throughout the years. Huge difference. I am sure most of you have heard of Peace Divison from back in the day, I'm talking a long time back, and this remix of theirs is probably one of my all-time favorite tracks. Classic by all means... Underground will live forever baby!
