Russia's Tu-95MS strategic bombers launched cruise missiles Saturday following an earlier report that it test-launched a long-distance ballistic missile in the same day, the Interfax news agency reported.

"The Tu-95MS aircraft of Russia's Long Range Aviation took off from tactical airfields and successfully launched training cruise missiles in the Arctic region of the country," Col. Lieut. Vladimir Drik, aide to the Russian Air Forces commander said.

The missiles accurately hit training targets at the firing range, he said.

The launch was made as part of Stability-2008 exercises conducted with Belarus from Sept. 22 to Oct. 21.

It was reported earlier that Russia test-launched a long-distance ballistic missile Saturday as part of its Northern Fleet's military exercises. It was the first time that a submarine launched the Sineva ballistic missile to its maximum range.

I just want to say off the bat - that I am NOT “electionally” or “religiously

I just want to say off the bat - that I am NOT "electionally" or "religiously" biased by any means but I must mention that I came across this information while studying the book of Revelation, specifically Revelation 13 which my husband and I studied tonight (Beast out of the Sea - 7, heads...10 horns..10 crowns) This is not a joke!

I am not really for or against either presidential candidate - simply because I no longer believe that our next president (whoever that may be) has any power to undo the damage that has already been done by the progressive default of our current democratic system <sigh> After finding this info...and comparing it with the biblical prophecy (yeah I know - but it matters to ME)... this is REALLY REALLY scary.

Judge for yourself - - I am not spinning this based on political or religious opinion, google some of the bolded items yourself and you will see for yourself, regardless of what you believe!

From www.BarakObama.Com:

"(...)Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski (Polish: Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezi 4;ski, pronounced [ˈzbigɲev bʐɛˈʑiɲski]) : (born March 28, 1928, Warsaw, Poland) is a Polish-American political scientist, geostrategist, and statesman who served as United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981.(...)

Major foreign policy events during his term of office included the normalization of relations with the People's Republic of China (and the severing of ties with the Republic of China), the signing of the second Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT II), the brokering of the Camp David Accords, the transition of Iran to an anti-Western Islamic state, encouraging reform in Eastern Europe, emphasizing human rights in U.S. foreign policy, the arming of the mujaheddin in Afghanistan to fight against the Soviet-friendly Afghan government, increase the probability of Soviet invasion and later entanglement in a Vietnam-style war,[3] and later to counter the Soviet invasion, and the signing of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties relinquishing U.S. control of the Panama Canal after 1999.

He is currently the national security advisor for Barack Obama's presidential campaign, professor of American foreign policy at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies, a scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and a member of various boards and councils. He appears frequently as an expert on the PBS program The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer."

Sounds innocent enough right?

Read the ENTIRE wikipedia article about Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski. If that's not interesting enough - - google this: "The Club of Rome" and "The Technetronic Era" (the quotes just help focus in on the exact subject). You can even take it one step better and google those items with "Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski". Scary, scary, scary.

Just some teasers from a VERY basic search on the www

"The Club of Rome had its beginnings in April of 1968, when leaders from ten different countries gathered in Rome...The organization claims to have the solutions for world peace and prosperity...The Club of Rome has been charged with the task of overseeing the regionalizaton and unification of the entire world..."The Club's findings and recommendations are published from time to time in special, highly confidential reports, which are sent to the power-elite to be implemented. On 17 September 1973 the Club released one such report, entitled Regionalized and Adaptive Model of the Global World System... The document reveals that the Club has divided the world into ten political/ economic regions, which it refers to as 'kingdoms.'"

The Club of Rome commissioned Zbigniew Brzezinski, Carters National Security Advisor, (who also with David Rockefeller formed The Trilateral Commission in 1973), to write The Technetronic Era. This is a post-industrial zero growth plan designed in part to cripple U.S. industry in order to prepare us for the New World Order.

Club of Rome and its financiers under the title of the German Marshall Fund were two highly-organized conspiratorial bodies operating under cover of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and that the majority of Club of Rome executives were drawn from NATO. The Club of Rome formulated all of what NATO claimed as its policies and, through the activities of Committee of 300 member Lord Carrington, was able to split NATO into two factions, a political (left wing) power group and its former military alliance. The Club of Rome is still one of the most important foreign policy arms of the Committee of 300, and the other being the Bilderbergers. It was put together in 1968 from hard-core members of the original Morgenthau group on the basis of a telephone call made by the late Aurellio Peccei for a new and urgent drive to speed up the plans of the One World Government now called the New World Order. Peccei's call was answered by the most subversive "future planners" drawn from the United States, France, Sweden, Britain, Switzerland and Japan that could be mustered.

During the period 1968-1972, The Club of Rome became a cohesive entity of new-science scientists, Globalist, future planners and internationalists of every stripe. As one delegate put it, "We became Joseph's Coat of Many Colors." Peccei's book "Human Quality" formed the basis of the doctrine adopted by NATO's political wing. Peccei headed the Atlantic Institute's Economic Council for three decades while he was the Chief Executive Officer for Giovanni Agnelli's Fiat Motor Company. Agnelli, a member of an ancient Italian Black Nobility family of the same name, is one of the most important members of the Committee of 300. He played a leading role in development projects in the Soviet Union.

The Club of Rome is a conspiratorial umbrella organization, a marriage between Anglo-American financiers and the old Black Nobility families of Europe, particularly the so-called "nobility" of London, Venice and Genoa.

THE INFORMATION BELOW IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Remember these ideals were developed in the 1970's!
That was like.... nearly 40 years ago!
(Yeah yeah yeah - I may be young - but I ain't that dumb!)

The key to the successful control of the world is their ability to create and manage savage economic recessions and eventual depressions. The Committee of 300 looks to social convulsions on a global scale, followed by depressions, as a softening-up technique for bigger things to come, as its principal method of creating masses of people all over the world who will become its "welfare" recipients of the future.

The committee appears to base much of its important decisions affecting mankind on the philosophy of Polish aristocrat, Felix Dzerzinski, who regarded mankind as being slightly above the level of cattle. As a close friend of British intelligence agent Sydney Reilly (Reilly was actually Dzerzinski's controller during the Bolshevik Revolution's formative years), he often confided in Reilly during his drinking bouts. Dzerzinski was, of course, the beast who ran the Red Terror apparatus. He once told Reilly, while the two were on a drinking binge, that, "Man is of no importance. Look at what happens when you starve him. He begins to eat his dead companions to stay alive. Man is only interested in his own survival. That is all that counts. All the Spinoza stuff is a lot of rubbish."

With regard to the Third World, the Club of Rome's Harland Cleveland prepared a report which was the height of cynicism. At the time, Cleveland was United States Ambassador to NATO. Essentially, the paper said it would be up to Third World nations to decide among themselves which populations should be eliminated.

As Peccei later wrote (based on the Cleveland Report):

"Damaged by conflicting policies of three major countries and blocs, roughly patched up here and there, the existing international economic order is visibly coming apart at the seams.... The prospect of the necessity of the recourse to triage deciding who must be saved is a very grim one indeed. But, if lamentably, events should come to such a pass, the right to make such decisions cannot be left to just a few nations because it would lend themselves to ominous power over life of the world's hungry."

Link to biblio of "Limits of Growth" all I have to say is how many ways can you spell Hitler?

My last word.... don't believe me, do your own research! But by glory - don't you believe the media's lie's either! The bible says to TEST ALL SPIRITS and when it comes to who runs this country - you bet your bottom dollar (wherever that bottom may be) I will research and think for myself BEFORE I vote!

Most people would agree that the most effective leaders are those with foresight and the capacity to

Most people would agree that the most effective leaders are those with foresight and the capacity to see things through to the completion of a goal. While some people are born with those capabilities, others could use a little education, and everyone can use some tools for putting the most innovative business practices to work.

Caltech Industrial Relations Center excels at educating executives in technology-related firms. From classes on leadership development to entering markets in China or outsourcing work to India, their impressive catalog of courses is created to help businesses of any size stay in step with innovative trends, decrease costs, and maximize resources in a time of economic uncertainty.

Part of keeping down expenditures is increasing efficiency by making sure all of the departments in your company are integrated and striving toward the same goals. Courses in strategic planning help executives learn to make goals, draw up plans for reaching those end results, and following through to make it happen.

While this may sound like common sense, there is far more than meets the eye when it comes to deliberately implementing innovative ideas and moving a company in a direction that is sometimes shockingly new. It requires a keen eye for identifying strengths and weaknesses and a decisive hand at excising processes that do not work well and ineffective products that no longer meet customers' desires. (Also important is keeping a current knowledge of the customers at whom your products and services are aimed!) Following the market and current trends is a must, as is following technology developments and, if profitable, building alliances to foster cost-effective research and development.

Competition is hot and today's executives must be willing to arm themselves with the necessary knowledge available for keeping their companies growing and successful. Strategic planning techniques can offer clear vision and smart goals for the future. Taking advantage of a professional course is a great way to acquire these skills and learn how to implement them.

Today I learned about thinking strategically. We spent this morning with Professor Tom Inns.

Today I learned about thinking strategically. We spent this morning with Professor Tom Inns.

So after taking all this info in , we were then asked to apply these ideas from the corporate world to ourselves. Here goes ( this was created in approx 3 minutes :)

My mission: To always be eager to learn and know more. To adopt a way of thinking and perception of design and the world around us, that inspires others.

My objectives: Increase my network of contacts by 10 people by the next month.Continue to source potential routes to making my knowledge public: articles, reviews, interviews, blogging, talks etc.

My strategy : Make use of all resources available to me. Make use of the mind set and skill set of those around me. Do not lose my ambition and determination. Always love it and stay confident.

My plans, policies and measures: Get up smiling every morning. Be positive. Stop something when it is not fun anymore. Eat healthy and sleep lots. Laugh lots. Do it for myself, and not other people. Read everyday. Talk to people everyday.

This little exercise was interesting, and it was nice to hear what the others had come up with. It enabled me to familiarize myself with the concepts introduced in the lecture. Tom recommended this book to learn more about strategy:

The issue of 'planning' was brought up, and a very interesting perspective raised by Tom - the fact that the process of planning is very important, but the plan itself is very unlikely to come true...

I love to make plans and write lists so when I first heard this I thought 'but I want to the plans I map out to come true!'...after thinking about it I realise that if everything stayed the same, then the plan probably would come true, BUT...I will change, my environment will change, people around me will change, and most improtantly the world around us is changing. Therefore, the plan is unlikely to come true without a little tweaking!

ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!

I, Avalon Vi Avaloli command you...READ AND COMMENT!!!

Yes, I know this post is littered with ugly red and white pics which have a very good chance of getting taken off on photobucket, but that shouldn't do anything to the pic underneath, so if that happens click away anyway.

There are many people who love this season and many people who hate it. I personally fall into the 1st category. I don't give a fuck if people disagree with this review. This season may not be what was originally planned for Code Geass R2, but that doesn't mean this season wasn't incredible and a great ending to Code Geass. I personally loved how it turned out.

Animation - 10/10
The animation isn't really any different from the 1st season. It's still fun as hell watching the knightmares fight it out. They are very fast paced and fun to watch. The characters are all well drawn and the environments are nothing to dismiss. I'm sorry for any of you who were hoping, but there are NO girls masturbating in this season. Why I put that animation, I have no clue.

The Legend of Spinzaku:
Why is he so popular? The world may never know! I sure as hell don't!

Sound - 8/10
I did like the 1st opening by Orange Range, even though it wasn't the type of music I'd really associate with Code Geass. Hitomi's songs were still in there too so that made me happy. Voice acting was still phenomenal.

Hitomi - Continued Story
I don't believe there are any pics to spoil the story in this video, but if I'm wrong, gomen.

Story - 9.5/10
Wow, just fucking wow!
This season had an amazing story just like the 1st season. It didn't get a 10 just because of some events that I didn't really like at first, like just how large of an involvement the Chinese Federation played, but then came to enjoy these things. I will say this, compared to the 1st season, this did seem a little rushed, but only a little. It reminded me of ep 24-25 of the 1st season, where a shit load of things happen one after another, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in CGs case. Not much to say story-wise without ruining anything, but I bet most people can guess that Lelouch is still Zero and if you couldn't you are a complete dumbass. Yes, there still are cliff-hangers that make you so depressed that you almost turn suicidal, but then you realize that if you do you won't be able to see the next episode.

Character - 8/10
There really wasn't much character development except for Lelouch and somewhat Suzaku and Rolo. Most of the characters were the same as always and the new characters only got enough development to really introduce them and after that their wasn't really much. Like Le Xingke and Tianzi who got a couple of episodes of introduction and involved them in a conflict and then had it resolved, but after that they really weren't developed any further.

As far as I am concerned, Lelouch = God (in Code Geass universe). Lelouch is an amazing character and knows what he wants to accomplish and knows exactly how to make it happen. Sort of like Light/Kira from Death Note, but MUCH better. Lelouch is without a doubt one of my favorite, if not my favorite, anime character of all time.

Overall - 9.125/10
My Score - 10/10
This is still my favorite anime and the ending of this season reminded me why I love it so much. If you liked the 1st season, then of course you should see this, but if you haven't, then why the hell are you reading this? Go read the 1st season review.

Now I have to quiz you to make sure your paying attention.

Quesion: Who is God?

I want to cry when I think that this amazing anime, Code Geass, is over. Look, I'm not the only one, look at how sad everyone is that Code Geass is over!

This next one IS a spoiler so...

The End

I have many more pics I would LOVE to put on here, but this is a review, not a picture post so too bad.

(Sorry for the lack of pictures... Didn't really have time to take any screenies)

I have 2 words (pictures) to describe this anime with:

We can narrow it down to one:

(I don't feel like making my own pic, so you are stuck with this...book or whatever with the word on it)

I know some people might not like this anime mainly because either you liked the manga better and the anime went a direction they didn't expect, or you don't like mecha anime.

As I think I said in the review of the first season, this doesn't completely concentrate on mecha fighting. That is a chunk of the anime, but that isn't what made this anime more entertaining then god (at least to me).

Animation: 9.9/10
Considering this is a new anime, it better be good. The only reason it didn't get a perfect 10 is because whoever the animators are, they seem to like noodles, and they designed the characters off of them... Didn't really notice most of the time, but sometimes, it became more noticeable then anything else. (and if you haven't seen the gay animations that people with too much time on their hands have made of Suzaku's weird kick thing)

Sound: 9.7/10
Ok...I don't know why Avalon didn't put this song on his post...
1st opening:

Good song... Orange Range makes weird songs...most not my type, but this song is awesome... (of course the rap is pushing it for me, but as long as it doesn't sound like Gangster rap i am fine for the most part)

Avalon didn't even seem to give this next song a chance.... It is good too, not as good as the first of course...

Story: 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10
I don't think that is high enough... If you end up watching them all at once, there are few episodes you will have the ability to stop on. Since we had to wait for them to come out, we had no choice but to wait....sleepless nights I tell you.

The first episode of this season didn't explain much at all. Complete and udder confusion on what happened since the ending of the last season. All you are really told is that it is a Year from then and the Japanese lost the war. In the span of about 10 seconds on the second episode, they explained most of it (with Avalon's favorite animation of them all).

The way that Lelouch turns the events to his direction, made Zero into just a symbol, and tricked everyone for damn good reasons, made me want to loose my virginity to him (ignoring that i am not gay, I will be for him god dammit!!! You know you would too.)

The ending is what made this get what it got. No other anime I have seen ends like this. A HUGE twist, confusion, hatred, blood, lolies...IT HAD IT ALL! For someone to be like Lelouch, to do what he did for the people, with everyone hating him...shows how godlike he is.

Characters: 10/10
Like any story, what made it so damn good were the characters and their reaction to the events. This is probably the best character development I have seen in anime (ignoring the ones that were geassed to act the way they did).

If you think you know who you want to win the fight between Kallen and Suzaku half way through the anime, don't think your feelings will stay that way. But don't worry....they have a kick ass ending battle =D

I can't really say much more or I will ruin it for people I am trying to convince to watch it...

Overall: 10/10
Ok, maybe this is a little bias cause I loves this anime, but this anime is beyond a grading system, and 10 is an understatement. Oh...and

Canada has one Right-leaning party, the Progressive Conservatives, and THREE left-leaning parties,

Canada has one Right-leaning party, the <del datetime="00">Progressive </del>Conservatives, and THREE left-leaning parties, the Liberals, New Democratic Party, and Green Party. (And some Independents, and a few other, smaller parties that I won't get into here. Plus a large French party- the Bloc Quebecois- but since the people who vote Bloc seem to do so for reasons tied more to culture than to politics, for this post I'll skip them too).

Anyway, my point is that less than half the Canadian population tends to lean Right- but on the Right, there is only one party, so that party gets all the Right-leaning votes. To generalize, all Right-leaning Canadians vote Conservative.

Left-leaning Canadians, arguably a more idealistic group, split themselves into smaller camps among the Liberal, NDP, and Green Parties- all Left, but a Left divided. Divided they often fall, into a Conservative majority government.

There's a Canadian election looming, called early by the current (Conservative) Prime Minister. It's looking pretty good for him right now, so a lot of Left-leaning people are talking about strategically voting in this election- in other words, voting for the Left party that's most likely to win in one's riding, instead of the party one feels most politically aligned with. They'd rather have leadership that's "not quite as Left as they want" than split the vote and allow conservative leadership to take the majority.

Here's a site that allows Canadians to input their postal code and determine the ideal Left-leaning strategic vote for their riding.

This is that site's evaluation of the current polls:

[caption id="attachment_1002" align="aligncenter" width="400" caption="from www.VoteForEnvironment.ca"][/caption]

Here's an interesting 2003 interview with US playwright Tony "Angels In America" Kushner, in which he addresses the US version of this concern:

[Kushner]:
I have said this before, and I'll say it again: Anyone that the Democrats run against Bush, even the appalling Joe Lieberman, should be a candidate around whom every progressive person in the United States who cares about the country's future and the future of the world rallies. Money should be thrown at that candidate.

And if Ralph Nader runs -- if the Green Party makes the terrible mistake of running a presidential candidate -- don't give him your vote.

Listen, here's the thing about politics: It's not an expression of your moral purity and your ethics and your probity and your fond dreams of some utopian future. Progressive people constantly fail to get this.

The GOP has developed a genius for falling into lockstep. They didn't have it with Nixon, but they have it now. They line up behind their candidate, grit their teeth, and help him win, no matter who he is.

[Interviewer]:
You're saying progressives are undone by their own idealism?

[Kushner]:
The system isn't about ideals.

So, yeah. Strategic voting.

I'm always curious about what people do when faced with this dilemma.

If I may, what do you guys do? Or what would you do?
Do you vote for the party you like the most, no matter what else is likely to happen with your riding, or do you vote strategically, casting a vote in favour of a party that sometimes annoys you, but which would help shut out a party you fundamentally distrust?

(As always, anonymity is totally cool here. I don't get nearly enough trolls.)
