She stared at the single leaf that settled at the edge of the bench they were sitting as he goes on rambling about. She seemed fascinated by it but in reality, she was far from fascinated by it. It was just a distraction. She turned at looked at his face . Then, everything flooded back.

His promises.

'I will always be here for you. Behind you to catch you when you fall and beside you to support you. I need you because you are everything to me.' He embraced her tightly. She nodded while her lips curved into a smile and leaned her head on his shoulder and enveloping him with her arms.

His sweetness.

'I brought something for you.' He wore his usual goofy grin once again.'What?' she asked raising her eyebrows at him while her heart thumped wildly inside her chest because of the excitement and curiosity mixed together although him bringing something for her is not a new thing. He opened his clenched hand, in his palm there lay a single four leaf clover. 'Its a good luck charm.' he said matter-of-factly. She took his hand and her lips touched the clover peacefully lying in his palm.

His betrayal.

He stared at her with a deadpan face. 'Why are you here?' he asked. She was about to answer when a voice cut her off,' Who is she?' He glanced at the newcomer then turned back to look at her. Straight in the eye, he said, 'Just an acquaintance.' and before she knew it, the other person was kissing him and he was reciprocating it.

And now, his apology.

She gazed into the depths of his eyes. Everything was there. A mist formed at the corner of her eyes. Everything was too late. He was not there when she crumbled. He never answered her scream for help. He was not the one who wiped those unshed tears. He was not the one who extended a hand for her to hold on to. He simply was not there.

He was finished.

She stood up. He grope her wrist, grasping it tightly. She shook him off, as hard as she could. It paid off. She took a step, then another and another until there was enough distance between them.

"I'm sorry" he whispered but it was so clear to her that it seemed like he screamed those words.

A bird perched on the tree near them called out to its comrades. A boy pleaded to his mother to buy him ice cream. A young man called out to the lady who passed by him. A breeze swept off the leaf she was staring earlier where it rested.

"Hey!"

She turned. A small smile was carved upon her face.

"Its too late to apologize."

The trees relied the message to each other. She walked away, away from the place, away from him and the painful and bittersweet memories he carries with him.

A lonely tear shone against the sun's light that passed through the cluster of leaves of trees.

Desde o verão de 2006, a banda era fortemente considerada uma das melhores bandas no MySpace, devido a grande exposição à comunidade. A banda foi formada pelo compositor e produtor Ryan Tedder junto com seu amigo de colegial Zach Filkins em Colorado Springs. O grupo então se mudou para Los Angeles. With the popularity of the song Apologize I thought it would be a great idea to teach everyone how to play this beautifully melodic song. So here's the story, day by day, band by band, moment after moment, time after time

DAY 1

so, for day 1, i was really excited to see New Found Glory, one of the best band in pop-punk scene, period. Ever since i saw them live on the DVD 'This Disaster", i was really anxious to watch them live. Well, what can i say? i grew up listening to these guys, i even played their songs with my band back in junior high.
At first, i wasn't going to watch these boys, because i already asked my father for ticket of day 2 (in which Lostprophets, one of my all time favorite band, performs). But luckily, JAVA musikindo (the promoter, if you don't know that already) held another discount event sponsored by Fruit Tea, so i'm able to buy another ticket for IDR 455.000 ( a 195.000 savings from the original 650.000). oh yeah, i'm not that excited to watch Simple Plan, simply because they just getting suckier by the minute (sorry SP fans, frankly, they do)

i arrived at the venue, which is Tennis Indoor Senayan at 3:00 PM. When i arrived, i said to myself,"holy shit, i don't belong here" why? because there's lots of Simple Plan fans already gathered and lining up in the entrance. But fuck it, i'm here to enjoy the show, and i'm not going to let some 14 year old ruin my evening. So i then take a seat on the edge of the sidewalks when this person with 'BANE' t shirt came in front of me and he's asking,"lo Gilang kan?" and i said,"Ya". It turns out, that person is Jadoon, one of my friend in Facebook who also work for the Macbeth Street Team. So we strike up some conversations. About 15 minutes later, Dimas, who also works for Macbeth Street Team, came to the front gate and greet us. And we talk for about 20 minutes, ranging from macbeth, to merchandise, to how Jadoon met NFG.

After a pretty long waiting, we finally able to get to the venue. I instantly go to the Macbeth booth. Besides Dimas, i met Inesh, Edo and Nisty, who happens to be taking care of the booth. I bought New Found Glory merchandise. The tee were white with Asia tour dates behind it. The tee was a standard indonesian quality, not too bad, not too good. average.

while waiting for the final gate to open, i watched the performance from the welcoming bands, air hostess for vacation and scared of bums. Both bands are sick, nuff said.

At 6:00 PM, the gate open, and i storm to the tribune. I got a decent seat, cause all the best seat are already taken over by other people. but that's fine by me.

Andra and the backbone opens the Day 1 set. Their sound WAS AWESOME (note: for an Indonesian band). Seriously, their sound is magnificent, clear, loud, and rocked hard. But the crowd sucked, they don't know shit about them, and simply stood still while the guys played.

after about 1 hour, A&TB finished their set. the crew of NFG started their duty. Then, the magic happens.

NFG open their set with "Understatement", the crowd went crazy. Jordan was wearing 'HAVE HEART' sleeveless tee and a bright red short, and running around without shoe on the set.
All i can say is, NFG kicked Indonesia's ass! nuff said.

as for SP, i don't know shit about the thing their doing inside, cause i was hanging around in the Macbeth booth after NFG set. 12:00 AM, i'm tired. Gotta go home,

DAY 2

woke up on 9:00 AM, i still feel tired, and my voice is a little hoarse. FYI, for the show today, i prepared a Welsh flag to bring to the Show. Because i know that Lostprophets is from Wales and always brings the Flag everytime they done a show. The flag costs me a whooping IDR 150.000., here's how the flag looks

When i looked at the flag, i felt that i could put something behind it. And i was thinking, 'let's put some Lostprophets's lyrics behind it!'. I was thinking hard, which lyrics should i put? after that, i put Burn Burn lyrics in them. The exact line is "Burn Burn, For Us, For Them, For You". Cause i thought that 'that's the line that defines Lostprophets!'.

So, 2:00 PM. i'm off to the venue. I went with Richard, my best friends, who also liked Lostprophets very much. We arrived at the venue at 3:00 PM. The venue situation? empty. There's this one girl already sitting in line (who turns out to be Amelfax, a friend from JakartaConcerts forum).

So at 4:30 PM, the Gate is open, and we storm inside. I met Ryan and Dimas from JakCo forum. Then i went straight to the merch booth, and bought Lostprophets tee, dubbed the 'Impromptour 2008 Tee", for 200k. Then, as my habit for a gig, i went straight to the final gate, waiting for it to open.

6:00 PM, gate open, don't think, RUN.
secure a safe spot up front, right in front of Ian later on. Here's the view:

awesome right? FYI, that mic in the center , is THE mic. Ian's mic! holy shit, i'm way too excited!

by the way, Melanie Subono sucked. She's way tooo decent. could have done better. But still, i applaud you girl!

after a 40 minutes production set up, Lostprophets hit the stage on 8:30 PM. 'We Still Kill The Old Way" blast through the speaker. As the boys plays their instruments, the singer is missing. It turns out, he is on the sidestage, waiting his turn to sing. Ian looked awesome. I don't meant to say this in a gay-ish kinda way, but he looked absolutely STUNNING that night! proof?

i thought he looked like johnny depp LOL. Anywho, after WSKTOW, they blast to 'The New Transmission' , 'Can't Catch Tomorrow' and 'A Town Called Hypocrisy'. After that, Ian started the warm conversations to the crowd.

"How you guys doin Jakarta?"
*yeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*

at this moment, i scream so loud to Ian. I want him to see the flag that i made. Thank god he saw my flag, and we strike up some conversations

"wow, you got our flag there mate, where did you bought it?"
"I MADE IT!!!!"
"YOU'RE A LIAR!"
"NO!, Serious!"
"well, if you did make it, that's awesome! i could hire you! you could be a good employee"

holy shit, i just talked man-to-man with Ian-Fucking-Watkins.

Moments passed. Then, they blast through "Rooftops", "Start Something", "4:AM Forever", . At this point after 4AM, i screamed to Ian," NEW SONG!!!!". And suddenly he turn his face to me and said,"No....!! you will not know the words, hahaha" in a funny way. Damn he's a funny guy.

Then, they blast through "Last Summer", "Everyday Combat", "Last Train Home" and "Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja". Holy shit, how many song is that? 11. So i guess they are ready to play their final song of the night. I saw Lee changed his guitar to his red Fender Telecaster, while Mike use his Black Paul Reed Smith singlecut.

i know this, it's BURN-FUCKING-BURN

Ian started his mandatory closing speech

"well, this is our last song for tonight, one republic is coming up next, thank you guys, bla bla bla"

then i flipped my flag to reveal the otherside, which has Burn Burn Lyrics in them, and scream WAYYYYY too loud to Ian

"IANN!!!!!!"
*stared to the flag, in SURPRISED*
"HOLY SHIT THAT'S AWESOME, NOW YOU GET ON STAGE AND DANCE RIGHT NOW!"

Is this true? am i hearing it right? Ian Watkins, the frontman of Lostprophets wants me to get on stage to sing "Burn Burn" on stage with THEM? Holy shit, i felt my heart racing, sweats dropping on my forehead and my knees shivering.

now, wait a minute, did the frontman of one of my all time favorite bands really did said that?

people all around me, including Richard, already shouting,"ayooo!, naik naik!, hantam bleh!"

shit, let's go on with it!

2 security guy helped me up, and i climb the platform to get on the stage.

HOLY SHIT.

the first person i greet is Jamie, the keyboardist. Shit, boy do he has a big smile on his face. I hugged him like a long lost best friend from their childhood. I also hugged Mike. Boy, he also has big smiles on his face. Then, i hugged Stu, and shake Lee and Ilan's hand. But before that, i hugged Ian. Boy, sure these boys are one of the NICEST people around. I mean it. NICEST. N-I-C-E-S-T.

oh yeah, sorry 'bout hugging the guys to all the fangirl out there. HAHA! you don't get to do these!

then Ian started to talk to me
"cmon lad, show 'em the flag"
*i flipped my flag with the lyrics on*
*and the crowd went NUTS*

Ian then grab ahold of my shoulder, and we headbanged together. Fuck, one of the most impossible action i ever thought in my life.

i even get to share the mic on this one. And i scream my fucking heart out while singing backup vocals.

The whole song took a different meaning to me now. I finally know why this song definitely explains who and what Lostprophets are here for. They are one of the best bands in the world. Nuff said. I don't care whether you call them poser, faggot, or whatever. THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST BANDS IN THE WORLD, and will definitely go down to history!

at the end, Stu approaches me, and gave me his pick. holy shit, Stu's pick is mine now! Then, i get another hug from Ian, and he went backstage. Before i get down, i stole the set list from the floor (LOL). Awesome

after i get of the stage, i was greeted by my friends, and i got interviewed by several radio stations and magazines. Feel like a celebrity LOL

Music put me in a good mood and keep me awake on these early morning drives. As I was in deep thought pondering the significance of shorts shorts I caught sound of this interesting opening melody of the current song that was playing from my "summer 2008 awesome mix" cd, I took an interest and devoted my attention to the song.

The song was "Say" by One Republic. The first line I heard was Ryan Tedder asking if I knew "where my heart is ? " and whether I "can find it ?" Or did I "trade it for something, somewhere" and its "better just to have it". 
I wasn't really expecting such a heart to heart conversation so early in the morning but it was Ryan asking so I indulged his curiosity. No Ryan, I am not sure where my heart is, I guess if I wanted to find it I can probably feel it out. Its either on the left or right chest, I always get it mixed up. Why would I trade it ? Hell yes its better to have it, you kinda need it to live and all.

As soon as I replied, he went on asking ...

"Do you know where your love is
Do you think that you lost it
You felt it so strong but nothings
Turned out how you want it "

Obviously I misunderstood his question, I have a tendency of always taking things for its literal meaning. But from these questions Ryan had me at his mercy. Yes I once had feelings for someone but got shot down so now its long gone, I did felt it "so strong" but like he said, it didn't "turned out" exactly how I "want it".

Yes Ryan, I am "a lonely soul" and its because I "won't let go... of anything" I hold. I wish that I could be like you and proclaim to the world that "all I need is the air I breathe... and a place to rest my head" 

By this time he was dangerously hitting all the crucial emotions I had been going through for the past few months so I got defensive and told him off. YOU KNOW WHAT RYAN, you don't F*CKIN KNOW ME MAN, just because you STOP & STARED and told your girl that its too late for her to APOLOGIZE doesn't mean you F*CKIN know what I am going through. As I finished my last thought I promptly hit next to avoid having to talk to this asshole again, I was greeted with Ryan's lament of him "holding on a rope
that "Got [him] 10 feet off the ground"...

SUMABITCH...

El grupo terminó de grabar su disco debut "Dreaming Out Loud", que fue producido por Greg Wells (Mika, Rufus Wainwright, Deftones), con algunas canciones producidas por el cantante líder Ryan Tedder. Salió a la venta el 20 de Noviembre de 2007.
